The Greek language is truly a gift to the development of European civilization, and its culture has influenced many people extending beyond the borders of Europe. Although many educated Europeans carried with them the love for the ancient Greek language and culture upon settling in the New World, not much was known about the Greek culture as a whole.
Homophonic translations are a multilingual version of the parlor game in which each person whispers a phrase to the next, with the meaning getting mangled along the way. The twist is, you don’t actually have to know how to speak any other languages in order to do a translation.

The modern history of automated translation begins primarily in the post WW2 & Cold War era, when the race for information and technology motivated researchers and scholars to find a way to quickly translate information.
Systems are powered by hybrid machine translation (MT) engines. IT enterprise-level machine translation combines rules systems and statistical systems to achieve a hybrid solution.
These are a “black-box solution” due to the complexity of the software implementation and resources needed to successful train an engine.
